At 13 km from Giannitsa, is the capital of ancient Macedonia. The ancient city of Pella is spread over 4,000 acres.

 

Here, you can find the palace in which Philip II (386-336 BC) and his son Alexander III (356-323 BC) was born, Alexander the Great, the most legendary person of Macedonia.

 

The new Pella Museum is a miniature of the archaeological site, as the visitor can recompose the archaeological elements provided by the monuments and understand the various aspects of the daily life as well as the public life of the Macedonian capital.
